I’ve been teaching yoga in East Neuk since 2019, but practising yoga for about 15 years. It’s helped me through some hard times and I trust its benefits. I’m now training to be a yoga therapist. I’m also qualified to teach Menopause Yoga and management of menopause is one of my specialist areas in my nursing job.
I’ve worked as a nurse (practitioner) for more than 30 years, and am passionate about helping people in my communities to live as well as possible. I have a good understanding of the difficulties many of us face maintaining a sense of well-being, when illness, injuries and long-term conditions become part of our lives.
I believe that yoga is accessible to all – no, you don’t have to be flexible to go to yoga! Yoga can benefit everybody. Hatha yoga works with the body, the breath and the mind. It is a practice that can improve flexibility, strength, stamina and balance. Yoga helps us connect with ourselves, improve our energy levels, improve our moods and find some stillness and calm in this busy world.

PS ‘Bean’ is my family nickname. But I’m not as bouncy as I used to be!
